Every Ramadan, thousands of families across our host communities face the blessed month without enough to break their fast. This initiative provides Iftar meals directly to fasting individuals and families, alongside the disbursement of Zakah to those who qualify under Nisab thresholds.
"Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Tirmidhi)
₦5,000 feeds one family for a full week. ₦20,000 covers a household's Iftar needs for the entire month of Ramadan. Every contribution is tracked from donation to delivery, and Zakah funds are ring-fenced separately to ensure they reach only eligible beneficiaries.
During Ramadan 2025, Al Amaanah Aid organized a Feed-a-Muslim initiative alongside zakat disbursement, supporting vulnerable families with food assistance and financial support. This initiative helped families observe the blessed month with dignity while strengthening the spirit of generosity and community support that defines Ramadan.
Continuing our Ramadan outreach efforts, Al Amaanah Aid once again carried out the Feed a Fasting Muslim program and zakat distribution in 2026. Food packages were distributed to families in need, ensuring that fasting Muslims had access to nutritious meals for iftar while receiving financial support through zakat funds. Through this initiative, we strive to ensure that the blessings of Ramadan reach those who need them most.
